Transparent siloxane water repellent impregnation
Description:DROP 6 is a water-repellent consolidating protective product based on polysiloxanes in a nonfilm-forming solution, resistant to alkalis and atmospheric agents.
Thanks to its characteristics it is particularly suitable for o ffering an excellent water-repellent treatment to reinforced concrete structures and wall surfaces of any type, such as exposed concrete, cement conglomerates, wood-cement panels or fibr ocement, baked clay, stone, bricks, tiles, plaster, marble and granite provided they are absorbent, in vertical structure and left to “view”.
DROP 6 penetrates deep into the support, consolidating and cr eating a water-repellent barrier,but at the same time, not being film genic, does not occlude the micro porosity of the support, thus leaving the permeability to water vapour unchanged. In thi s way, the water does not penetrate inside the walls and there is no progressive crumbling of the building material caused by the alternation of frost ad thaw. Also, the formation of unsightly whitish patches caused by the water-soluble salts extracted from the wall no longer shows up. It is suitable for rainwater protection of historic buildings or of particular ar chitectural value. In addition, DROP 6 does not alter the original appearance of t he facades as it does not cause variations in colour or brilliance.
